This painter graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. During his studies his canvases gained considerable attention due to their unique form of painting, wherein he applied spatial perception of painting. This means that the brush strokes transform into plastic formations evoking a coloured relief. Karel Štědrý enjoys working with Mondrian basic colours - white, black, red, blue and yellow - and shows through his paintings that the basic image principles are almost endless. With his unmistakable signature, the author has exhibited at a number of exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad and is represented in public and private collections. He also devotes his time to graphic and book design. He is the winner of the Arskontakt award and he received his first prize for his school diploma thesis.
