This painter and restorer graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and since the eighties he has lived in Copenhagen, where he worked as an educator in the nineties. His painting work is conceptual: he always produces a series of images on a specific topic that is critical to contemporary consumer society. His paintings include, for example, themes of kitsch in his deer cycle, in which he alternates precise realistic painting with light abstract forms. Another series of images interprets the world of ads for perfume, sunglasses, shoes and other fashion accessories from the pages of stylistic magazines. Yet Lahoda is also able to create exact copies of old paintings or works of world modernism. His painterly virtuosity is immediately apparent in his paintings. He exhibits around the world and his work is represented in many private collections.
